About the Acupuncturist & Practitioner: Mimi Pullen

I specialize in neurological and immunological disorders, respiratory illnesses, OB/Gyn, Sports Medicine, and stress related disorders. I am a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado and the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as well as a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Colorado.

In August of 2008, I received a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. This program consists of training in the five branches of Oriental Medicine: Acupuncture, Theory, Biomedicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Asian Bodywork and includes 1,095 hours of clinical practice.

I am certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in October, 2008.

Before committing my life to the study and practice and of Chinese Medicine, I received a Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1993.  From there I worked as the Director of Development at Foothills Academy, a non-profit private school.  At Foothills I was responsible for reducing the $3 million debt owed from the Capital Campaign I managed, as well as the school’s Annual Fund. In 1983 I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL where I majored in Counseling.
